Clarence "Clar" Quinlan

In 1991, Clarence Quinlan III, much to the dismay of his ailing father, turned his back on running the family business (the world famous Quinlan Beach Rock Company) and reportedly donated his entire personal fortune, estimated at one hundred and twenty five million dollars, to charity.

Since then, Clarence (he prefers Clar) has become something of a fixture on the streets of downtown St. John's where he hustles tourists and locals alike, trading stories rife with rumour, lies and half-truths for a few dollars.
